City Road on the London Underground is a disused tube station. It was one of the stations built when the City & South London Railway (C&SLR) (now part of the Northern Line) opened its extension from Moorgate to Angel on 17 November 1901. It is located between Old Street and Angel.
Miro acts with great politeness.[8] Gerard Goodrow said, "As a person, she's very reserved, but she takes contemporary art very seriously."[8] She backs her artists with a passionate intensity, and was visibly condemnatory of both Mayor Giuliani and Philippe de Montebello, head of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, whom she felt had been unjust in a harsh New York Times opinion piece about Ofili and other artists during the Sensation controversy at the Brooklyn Museum.[8]
The station was opened on 14 February 1904 by the Great Northern & City Railway (GN&CR) on its underground route between the Great Northern Railway (GNR) station at Finsbury Park and the Metropolitan Railway (MR) and City & South London Railway (C&SLR) station at Moorgate in the City of London.
