Best Alternative Covers to Use for Furniture When Moving
Published on Monday, 01 February 2010

Moving Blankets used to cover furniture and other belonging on the truck or tailer during the transit when moving. They protect your furniture and other valuable things from dust and other harmful substances during the move.
If you hire a moving company on your move day, they will be using moving blankets to cover your things. However, if you and your family or friends are the only who will transfer your things to your new house, that could be a problem.
There are moving blankets that you can rent from moving companies that you can use during your move day. However, if you are on a tight budget renting a moving blanket is not probably a good idea to help in stretching your budget for your move.
It will also be a waste of money if you will rent a moving blanket when you can actually have a good alternative to use to cover your furniture during the transit. Check your closet and garage if you have a thick blanket that you can use to cover your furniture. These could be a good alternative. If you use your own blankets, try to look for a plastic cover to cover the blanket that you use. The blanket will protect your furniture from dust and other harmful foreign substance on the road; and the plastic cover will protect your blanket from dust or any liquid during the transit.
