How to Get the Move Going on Schedule
Published on Saturday, 10 April 2010

Everything has to be planned when you move. And this includes the day of the move. After all, you don't have all week to do the move. You would most likely have other obligations such as a job to attend too as well.

The trick is to finish packing right when you plan to move. But it's quite important that you book the movers in advance. You should do it before others beat you to it. Take note that many other people want to move too. If you want to get the best and the most reputable removals company you need to do it before others do. Besides booking the move makes it final and finalizes your plan as well.

However, if you want to save on fees you have to schedule your move on a weekday when there are less people moving. With less demand, fees would be lower as well. So if you only have weekends off, you should try taking a day off for the move. Fees for the last weekend of the month are usually higher too so you must not schedule the move around these days. But if you really need to do it on the last weekend of the month, remember to book 3 to 4 weeks beforehand.

It's better to schedule your move to be the first job in the morning as well. This way you can ensure that the movers will be on time. You won't be delayed so you will be able to do as much work on that day too. If you get scheduled in the afternoon, other jobs in the morning could get delayed. This would carry over to your move. So again, schedule a morning job to get started on time.
