If you are on a tight budget or simply uncomfortable to hire someone who will pack your personal and important belongings, self packing is always a good choice when you move. However, if you pack your own things, you need to pack them properly to make sure your belongings are safe during the transit.
Here are some practical tips that you can apply when you pack your belongings: Make sure to complete all your packing materials before you start packing. You will feel more tired if you stop packing because you need to go to an office store to buy a packing tape. So, before you start packing, make sure you have the enough number of packing materials with you.
Before going to school supplies or packing supply stores, make sure to measure and take note all the items that you need to pack. If you have a lot of books to transit, make sure to purchase small boxes for these treasures. Never put them in one big box because no one will be able to carry them. This will cost you more. Bubble wrap and old newspapers are very effective to prevent any fragile items inside your box save.
Do not forget to label your boxes to make it easier for you to unload them in your new home.
