- Be gentle-be kind with them and avoid to criticize if they are doing something wrong.Help them to sort ad pack and try not to commet their household habbits. They could be too strange for you and tottaly different .
- Help them to sort and get rid of some too old but sentiment items. It is often easier to give away items if they are going to a good home.Suggest them to make a present to a close friend or relative or give them away for charity
- Decorate and rearrange their new place in similar position and outlook as their old one.Be as detailed as you can from arranging the bedroom furniture to placing the family pictures on the bureau. This will let them feel as this is not a pretty new place but a familiar one.
- Remember to spend a whole day with your parents in discussions for the move.Take them out to a breakfast and a walk in the park.Ask them what they think for the move and what they prefer to do in reason to help you.Don't burden them with too hard and complicated tasks but get them some so they will feel happy to help you.Don't even think to treat them as children because they expect you to do and will be really upset.
- Try not to push them and leave the them enough time to say goodbye to their close friends and memories.
- Take your parents to your new home and introduce them the place with all its facilities and ooportunities.Be patient and let them explain you how they would like it to look and make a plan to prepare the space accordingly.
